Arputham Stores

Arputham Stores is situated at 56 Bazaar Road in Saidapet. Chennai is known for its busy markets, and Bazaar Road is right in the middle of it. Our shop is quite old. The address is number 56, and we’ve stayed in the same spot for decades. It’s a narrow building with high ceilings. We don’t have any modern decorations or fancy lights. The wooden shelves are packed with items people need for their daily lives. It gets very hot in Saidapet, so we just have a few ceiling fans to keep things cool. We don't do any marketing or have a big brand name. People in the area just know us as their local store. The street outside is always full of noise from the market. You can hear people bargaining and horns honking all day long. We spend our time checking the goods and serving the customers who walk in. Many of them have been coming here since they were young. It's a very personal way of doing business. We don't have a polished staff or uniform. We're just a family-run place in a busy part of Chennai. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside, but that’s just part of being on Bazaar Road. We focus on our daily work and keeping the shop going for the next generation.
