Amutha Surabhi Store

You can find us at 94, Ezhil Nagar in Thoraipakkam. It’s a growing area with lots of new houses and people moving in all the time. Our store, Amutha Surabhi Store, is right in the middle of it. We see a lot of different people every day. Some are IT workers from the nearby offices, and some are families who have lived here for a long time. We try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. It’s a small shop, so we have to be smart about where we put things. Sometimes it feels like a puzzle trying to fit new stock in. We open up pretty early because people like to get their milk and bread before they go to work. The traffic on the main road can be loud, but tucked away here in Ezhil Nagar, it’s a bit quieter. We have a couple of boys who help with deliveries and keeping the place tidy. We don't have any big goals of becoming a supermarket. We just like being the local shop where people can grab what they forgot at the big store. Sometimes we have a bit of a laugh with the regulars. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the back door, so we keep an eye on that. It’s just a normal life running a store in a busy part of the city. We do our best to keep things simple.
