We have been operating out of this spot in Chintadripet for quite a long time. Our kitchen is at No 108/41 on Guruvappa Chetty Street, which sits just off the busy Mount Road. If you live around here, you know how hectic the streets can get with all the traffic and people moving about. We decided to focus on home-style catering because we felt there was a need for food that didn't taste like it came from a big hotel. It is just a small, family-run kind of thing. We don’t have any flashy signs or a big storefront to show off. Most of our days are spent in the back, preparing large pots of food for local events or family gatherings. Being so close to Mount Road is helpful for deliveries, even if the narrow lanes make it a bit tricky to park our scooters sometimes. We mostly stick to traditional recipes that we’ve used for years. We buy our vegetables and spices from the local markets every morning to make sure everything is as it should be. It is hard work, especially during the summer months when the kitchen gets really hot, but we keep going. The people in the neighborhood have gotten to know us pretty well over the years. We aren't trying to do anything fancy, just plain, good food for people who need it. It is just a simple business run by people who love to cook for their neighbors.
