Alex Provision Stores

My family has been around Teynampet for a long while now. We run Alex Provision Stores right here on South West Boug Road. It’s a busy spot in Chennai, but we try to keep things steady. People stop in for their regular stuff like rice, dal, and whatever else they need for the kitchen. The shop isn't fancy. There are shelves everywhere and sometimes it gets a bit crowded when the delivery trucks come by. We spend most of our day checking stock and talking to the regulars who have been coming here for years. It’s just how it is. Sometimes the heat gets to us, but we stay open. You can find us at 31/38. We aren't doing anything special, just selling groceries to the people living nearby. My uncle started this, and now I'm here most mornings before the sun is even fully up. We know most of the faces that walk through the door. If someone needs a specific brand of soap or a certain type of flour, we try to keep it on the shelf. The floor is a bit old and the fans make a lot of noise, but it works for us. Living and working in Chennai means dealing with the traffic on South West Boug Road every single day. It's just part of the routine. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us helping out. We just get on with it every day.
