You can find us at Shop No. 781 in the Gobindpura area of Mani Majra. We are quite close to the HDFC Bank, which makes it easy for people to locate us in the busy market. Chandigarh is a planned city, but Mani Majra has its own unique, crowded energy. Our shop is small and we’ve been here for quite some time now. We don't have a fancy office or a big sign with bright lights. Most of our customers are locals who live within walking distance or people who come to the bank and see us. The day starts early when we pull up the metal shutters. We spend the first hour just getting things organized and cleaning the dust that settles overnight. There is a lot of foot traffic on this street. We see the same people going to work every day. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. It’s just honest work in a local neighborhood. Sometimes the weather is too hot and we just sit near the fan waiting for the next person to walk in. We talk to the other shopkeepers nearby while we have our tea. It’s a simple life. We don't have a mission statement or a five-year plan. We just want to keep the shop running and serve the people of Mani Majra as long as we can. It’s a decent place to spend the day.
