Charli Chaplin Dhaba

You can find us at Booth No 69-70 in Sector 27d, right in the middle of Janta Market here in Chandigarh. It is a small space, but we make it work. Being a dhaba, we do not have a lot of bells and whistles. The market is always buzzing with people shopping for groceries or clothes, and that energy usually spills over into our shop. The seating is a bit tight, especially during the winter months when everyone wants to be inside. We have a few workers who have been with us since we opened these booths. They know exactly how the regulars like their tea and food. We do not use any fancy machines; most things are done by hand in the back. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the day is busier than we expected, but people usually understand. The walls have a few posters and the lighting is just basic, but it feels like home to us. Sector 27d is a nice area, and being near Janta Market means there is never a dull moment. We just serve the kind of food we would eat ourselves at home. There is no corporate office or big management team, just us at the counter and the guys in the kitchen. We hope people feel full when they leave, and that is about all we worry about at the end of the day.
