Thakur Dhaba

You can find Thakur Dhaba at Shop-23 in Kishangarh village, right over in the Mani Majra area of Chandigarh. We are pretty close to the IT Park, which brings in a lot of different people throughout the day. Some are workers from the offices looking for a quick bite, and others are just folks living nearby in 160101. The dhaba is a simple place, mostly just some benches and the smell of wood smoke and spices. We’ve been in this little spot for years now, and not much has changed inside. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the rush, especially when the sun is beating down on the village. I’m usually busy in the back or checking on the customers out front. We don’t have fancy menus or waiters in uniforms; it’s more of a self-service kind of vibe most of the time. The tea is always hot and we try to keep the place as clean as we can with so many people coming and going. Kishangarh is a busy little pocket of the city, and being right near Mani Majra means there’s always something happening on the street. We just focus on making sure people get their food and can get back to their day. It’s a humble business, but it’s what we know. It's a lot of long hours, but we are used to it by now.
