The booth market in Sector-29 is where you’ll find us. We’re at Booth No-4. Chandigarh is a planned city so everything is in blocks. Our spot in Sector-29c is pretty easy to find if you know where the main market is. It's a dhaba, so things are pretty basic. We have the usual tables and chairs. It gets dusty sometimes because of the traffic nearby. We start early to get the lentils and vegetables sorted. The morning air in Chandigarh is nice before the heat kicks in. We’ve got the kitchen out back and the seating area in front. It’s not very big, but we make it work. Customers come from the offices or just people living around Sector-29. Sometimes the market gets very crowded on weekends. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors. The walls have been the same color for ages. There’s a lot of noise from the street, horns and people talking. We don't have air conditioning, just the fans on the ceiling spinning around. It’s a practical place. We keep the water jugs filled. People stop by when they’re hungry and don’t want anything fancy. We’re just here doing our job every day. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but that’s how a dhaba is. You just keep the pots moving and hope the weather stays manageable. It's a simple way to spend the day in Chandigarh. We close up when the food runs out or the market goes quiet.
