Shivam Eating Point

Shivam Eating Point is over at Shop Number-15 on Ravindra Enclave Road. We are right in the middle of Phase-5 in Baltana. It’s a busy little corner of Chandigarh where something is always happening outside the window. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be very organized with where we put our supplies and where the customers stand. I usually arrive in the morning to sweep the front and get the equipment warmed up. The air smells like oil and spices most of the day. It’s just me and a couple of helpers most of the time. We have a small counter where people place their orders and then they usually just stand around and talk while they wait. The traffic on Ravindra Enclave Road can get pretty loud, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming back from work. We have a few lights that are a bit too bright, but they help us see what we’re doing when it gets dark. Most of our regulars are people who work in the nearby shops or live in the apartments around here. We don't really have a big sign or anything fancy, just the name on the board. Dealing with the daily crowd and making sure we don't run out of ingredients is what takes up all my time. It’s a simple life, but it keeps the bills paid and the neighborhood fed with fresh food.
