Shah Dhaba

Our dhaba is located at Shop Number 42/7 in Sector 45c, Chandigarh. We’re right near the community center in Burail, which is a busy little pocket of the city. Shah Dhaba isn't a place with air conditioning or soft carpets. It’s a typical dhaba with hard benches and a lot of steam coming from the pots. We keep the tea brewing and the food cooking from early on. It’s a bit of a rough-and-ready kind of place, but it works for the people who live and work around here. We see a lot of laborers, students, and shopkeepers who just want a plate of food that tastes like home. The area around Sector 45c is always moving, and we are just a small part of that. We don't have a big staff, so sometimes you might have to wait a minute while we finish up another order. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just cook what we know and serve it on metal plates. It’s a practical life, and we’ve been doing it this way for years. If you’re looking for something polished, this probably isn't the spot. But if you're in Burail and hungry, you’ll find us easily enough near the center. We just keep things simple and try to get the food out while it's still hot.
