Rajni Dhaba

You can find Rajni Dhaba at Shop-1934 in Burail, which is in Sector 45b of Chandigarh. We are right across the street from Dev Samaj College. Because of the college, we see a lot of students throughout the day. They come in between classes or after they finish for the day. A dhaba is a simple kind of place, and that is exactly what we are. We don't have fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We have some tables and a kitchen that stays busy making basic food. Chandigarh is a planned city, but Burail has its own kind of busy, local energy. We are just one small part of that. The work starts early in the morning when we get the fire going and start preparing the day's meals. We don’t have any corporate polished look. It’s just us working in the shop. People come here because it’s convenient and it’s right there in Sector 45b. We don't do any big advertising or try to sound like something we are not. It’s just a dhaba where you can get something to eat. We deal with the usual things like the morning rush and the afternoon heat. It’s a straightforward life running a shop like this. We just keep things moving and serve whoever walks in from the street or the college. It’s been our routine for a while now and we just keep at it every single day.
