Quasim Mughlai Food

We are over in Sector 32d in Chandigarh. Shop number 329, if you’re looking for us. Quasim Mughlai Food is really just about the cooking we’ve been doing for years. It’s a small shop, nothing too flashy, just a place to get something to eat. We chose this spot because it’s a good corner of the sector. Most of the people who come in live nearby or work in the local shops. We start early in the morning getting everything ready for the day. There’s a lot of chopping and prepping that goes on before we even open the doors. It gets hot in the kitchen, especially in the summer months, but that’s just how it is. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the regulars by name. They come in, grab their food, and we have a quick chat if it's not too busy. The menu is mostly stuff we know how to make well. We don’t try to do too many things at once. It’s better to keep it simple and focus on what people actually want to eat. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing for deliveries, and other times it's quiet enough to sit down for a minute. That’s just the way the food business goes here in Chandigarh. We’re just happy to be part of the neighborhood and keep the stoves going every day. It's a lot of work but we enjoy seeing the familiar faces come in. Usually, by the time we close up, we're pretty tired.
