Puran Singh Ka Dhaba

Our place is at Booth Number 279 in the Main Market of Sector 44c in Chandigarh. Most people find us because we are right near the Canara Bank branch there. It is a typical market booth, so it’s not huge, but it works for what we need. Chandigarh is planned out nicely, but the markets still have that busy energy that keeps us on our toes all day. We start our morning by setting up the tables and getting the kitchen prepped. There is usually a lot of chopping and cleaning to do before the first person walks in. The market can get quite hectic, especially with parking and people running errands at the bank nearby. We have been here for a bit now and we know many of the faces that come through. It’s a simple life, really. We don’t use any complicated systems or fancy décor. The walls have a few basic things on them and the furniture is just what you would expect from a local dhaba. We stay open until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. Some days are busier than others, especially when the weather is nice and people want to be out in Sector 44c. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s about getting the food out and making sure the floor is swept. There isn't much more to it than that. We are just a local shop trying to do our job every day.
