Oko (The Lalit)

We spend most of our days here at Oko, tucked inside The Lalit over in Rajiv Gandhi IT Park. Chandigarh gets quite busy around the DLF Commercial Complex, and being right nearby means we see a lot of people coming in after work or for quick lunches. It is a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main city center, but we like it that way. The kitchen staff is usually busy prepping early in the morning, chopping vegetables and getting the sauces ready. We mostly focus on Asian dishes, though we don't try to make it fancy or over-the-top. People just come in, sit down, and eat. Some regulars from the IT offices nearby have their favorite tables and usually order the same thing every time. It’s nice to see familiar faces. The lighting is a bit dim inside, which helps if you’ve been staring at a computer screen all day. We try to keep things tidy, though sometimes when it gets really crowded, we’re all running around trying to keep up. It’s just how it goes in a restaurant. You’ll find us at the 160001 pincode area if you're wandering around the IT park looking for something to eat. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just open the doors, cook the food, and hope people enjoy their meal before they head back to their desks or home. It’s a simple setup really.
