handi express

handi express is just a small booth, number 54 to be exact, in Sector 19 of Chandigarh. It is a small space, but we make it work. Chandigarh is a planned city, but our little booth feels very personal. We don't have a big dining hall or anything like that. It's more of a place where you get your food and maybe stand and eat or take it home. We’ve been in Sector 19 for a while. People know us for the handi dishes we prepare. We don't use any complicated machines; it's mostly just manual work. The weather in Chandigarh can be quite something, so our booth is always a busy spot when it's nice out. We don't have a lot of staff, maybe just two or three of us at a time. This means things can get a bit slow if everyone arrives at once, but we work as fast as we can. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in the city. We just want to stay in our booth and keep making the food we know. It’s a simple setup, no frills at all. If you are walking around the 160019 area, you’ll probably see us. We’re just a local booth trying to do things the old-fashioned way. No corporate talk, just food and a bit of conversation if we aren't too busy. We usually have a few napkins on the counter and that's about it for the extras.
