Fouji Dhaba

You can find us over in Sector 45 A in Burail. Being near the Sabji mandi in Sector 45 means it is always a bit chaotic around here, especially in the early hours. Chandigarh is a planned city, but this corner feels very alive and raw. Shop no. 2041 is where we spend most of our lives. We are not some big chain with polished floors and uniforms. We are just a dhaba where the steam from the kitchen fills the room and the chairs might creak a bit when you sit down. Most of our days are spent chopping, cooking, and cleaning up. The crowd from the market keeps us on our toes. You get all sorts of people here, from laborers to office workers looking for a quick bite that tastes like home. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertisements because people just know where we are. It gets loud when the lunch rush starts, and sometimes we have to yell a bit over the noise to hear each other. The smell of spices is always stuck to our clothes by the time we go home at night. It is hard work, but it is honest. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, watching the city grow around us. The walls have seen a lot of stories and heard a lot of laughter over the plates. It is just a local place for local people who want a meal.
