Citco Dhaba

We are located right in the middle of the Community Centre in Industrial Area Phase I. It’s a busy spot in Chandigarh, especially during the afternoon when all the workers from the nearby factories come out for their break. Being opposite the Hometel Hotel and near the Civil Dispensary means we get all sorts of people walking in. The dhaba is a simple setup with basic tables and chairs. We don't have any fancy decor or a quiet atmosphere. It’s usually quite loud with people talking and the sound of the main road nearby. We focus on making heavy, filling meals that keep people going for the rest of their shift. The kitchen is always moving, with tandoors going and tea being poured constantly. It’s dusty work sometimes, being in the industrial area, but we keep the place as tidy as we can. We’ve been here for a long time, and we know most of the guys who work in the nearby units. They don't want anything complicated, just hot rotis and a good dal. We don’t have a manager in a suit or a big reception desk. You just walk in, find a seat, and someone will come by to tell you what’s ready. It’s a practical place for practical people. We just do our work and go home when the sun sets. The 160002 area is our home and we know it well.
