People usually find us on the first floor of SCO 368 in Sector 32d. We are right near the Nirman Theatre, so on weekends, it gets quite lively around here when the movies let out in the evenings. The dhaba isn't on the ground floor, so you have to walk up the stairs, which keeps the street noise away a little bit. We have a simple hall where we serve typical dhaba food. It’s nothing like the posh restaurants you see in the other sectors of Chandigarh. We use heavy steel plates and the furniture is just basic wooden tables that have seen a lot of use over the many years we have been open. Most of our customers are locals from the sector or students living nearby who don't want to cook at home. We serve a lot of parathas and dal makhani, things that fill you up properly for the whole day. The kitchen is always noisy with the sound of tandoors and clinking spoons against the pans. Sometimes the lighting is a bit dim in the corners, but people don't seem to mind as long as the food is hot and fresh. It’s a comfortable place where you can just sit and eat without having to worry about how you look or being formal with anyone. We’ve been operating in this spot for a good while and the routine stays pretty much the same day after day. It's a plain spot for a hearty meal.
