Saidatta Steel Corporation

Our yard is right on the Pune-Nashik Highway. We are pretty easy to spot because we’re near the Suzuki showroom. At Saidatta Steel Corporation, things are usually loud and heavy. We deal with a lot of steel rods, pipes, and sheets. Trucks are always pulling in and out, which makes a lot of noise against the highway traffic. The ground is mostly gravel and dirt, and it gets pretty muddy when it rains. We spend our time loading and unloading materials. It’s a physical job and we’re usually wearing thick gloves and boots. The sun beats down on the metal, making it hot to the touch in the afternoons. We have a small office shed where we keep the invoices and weigh the loads. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, what with all the rust and iron dust around. We serve a lot of builders and contractors who are working on projects nearby. Most of them have been coming to us for years. We don't do much in the way of advertising; people just know we’re here by the highway. Sometimes we have to move things around with the crane which takes a bit of time. It’s just a regular industrial spot where we work hard and try to get the orders right. The traffic on the Pune-Nashik road never seems to stop, even at night.
