Working out at Kalyani Lemmerz Ltd means spending a lot of time in Chakan. Our place is located on Victoria Meadows Road, specifically at number 635. It is quite a drive to get out here from the main city, but you get used to the commute after a few months. The area is very industrial, so you see a lot of trucks and big machines moving around all day long. Inside the facility, it is usually quite loud because of the work going on, and there is always that smell of metal and oil in the air. We have a lot of people coming in for different shifts, so the gate is always busy with workers arriving or leaving. It is a big operation, much larger than the small shops you see in town, but the daily grind feels pretty much the same. We have a canteen where everyone gathers to eat, and that is usually the best part of the day when we can sit down and talk about things other than work. The office side is a bit quieter, but there is still a lot of movement with papers being signed and people walking back and forth. Victoria Meadows Road can get quite muddy when it rains, which makes getting to the entrance a bit of a challenge. We have been at this 635 location for a long time, and it has become a landmark for people in this part of Chakan.
