Poona Pressing

Our unit is located at 258/A/260 Chakan, on the Bhoomi Castle Link Road. We are right near the HP Gas Plant. This is a very industrial area, so there are trucks moving in and out all day. We do metal pressing here. The machines are big and they make a lot of noise when they are running. It is a rhythmic sound that we have gotten used to over the years. The floor is concrete and we have to keep it clear of metal scraps. Being near the gas plant means there is a lot of security and traffic around. We have a small office section where we handle the orders and the billing. It is just a simple room with a couple of chairs and a computer. We spend most of our time out on the floor though. The Link Road is often dusty because of all the construction and the big vehicles. We get orders for different parts and we set up the presses to get them done. It is not an easy job and the days are long. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when we take a break. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just work with the local factories. It is a practical business. We focus on the pressing work and making sure the parts are ready when they are promised.
