Small Bazar

Located at number 16/28 E in Bapa Nagar, our shop is right on Padam Singh Road. It’s a busy spot in Karol Bagh. We call it Small Bazar because we try to keep a little bit of everything. You can find soap, buckets, some basic stationery, and even a few toys for kids. It is a very tight space. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling, and I have to use a long stick with a hook to get things down sometimes. It is a bit of a balancing act. We know most of the people who live in the buildings around here. They come in for things they forgot to buy at the bigger markets. We don't have a fancy billing system. I just use a calculator and give a hand-written slip if someone really wants one. The floor is a bit uneven and the paint is peeling in some spots, but it doesn't bother anyone. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors while they wait for their change. It gets really loud outside with the traffic, so we usually have a radio playing in the back to drown out the horns. We open up quite early before the sun gets too hot. My brother handles the morning shift and I take over in the afternoon. It’s a steady way to spend the day. We don't do any sales or promotions. People just come when they need stuff.
