Modern Bag Company

If you ever find yourself at Chowk Singhara in Sadar Bazar, you’ll know how packed it gets. Our shop, Modern Bag Company, is on the first floor at 3599 Qutab Road. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't looking, but we like it that way. We deal with all sorts of bags and the stock is usually piled up to the ceiling. It’s a lot of climbing stairs and moving boxes every day. Sadar Bazar is a loud, energetic place and we’ve been part of it for a long time. We don't have a big website or a social media manager. We just talk to the customers who walk up those stairs. Some are looking for one thing, some want a hundred. We treat them all the same. The floor is a bit uneven and the lighting isn't perfect, but it’s where we do our work. We don't use fancy talk to sell things. We just show the bags, tell the price, and that’s it. Most of our day is spent counting items and packing them for people to take away. It’s honest work in a very crowded part of town. Sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming with the noise from the street, but when you’ve been at Chowk Singhara as long as we have, you stop noticing it.
