Our place is on Mander Street in Dariya Ganj. It’s an old part of the city, and Kucha Chalan has that feel of history to it. The building we are in is quite old, with the kind of architecture you don't see much of anymore. We’ve been providing arts services from this spot at 2318 for a long time. It’s a bit of a walk to get here through the narrow lanes, especially if you aren’t used to the area. Inside, it’s a bit dark but we have our work stations set up where we spend most of our hours. There’s always a smell of ink or paper or whatever materials we are working with that day. We don't really have a front desk or a receptionist. If you come in, you just shout for one of us and someone will come out from the back. We take our work seriously, but the atmosphere is very casual. Sometimes we stay late into the night to finish a job, and the street outside gets very quiet and peaceful. Other times, it’s so loud with the local markets that we can barely hear ourselves talk. We don't have a big corporate philosophy. We just do the work that needs to be done and try to keep things going so we can stay in business. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us busy and we like the neighborhood.
