Sachdeva Gallery

Our place, Sachdeva Gallery, is located at 42 Market, Qutab Road in Ram Nagar. It’s a busy area because it’s so close to the main transport hubs, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the trucks and buses. The gallery is a place where we keep various art pieces, frames, and things for the home. The walls are covered in different frames we’ve collected or made over time. I spend a lot of my day cleaning the glass because the road outside is so busy that the dust just finds its way in no matter what we do. The floor is just simple cement, and we have a heavy wooden table in the middle where we do all the measuring and cutting. It’s a bit of a messy job, and there are always wood shavings on the ground by five o’clock. We don’t have a fancy showroom vibe. It feels more like a workshop where people can come in and see how things are done. My hands are usually a bit rough from the work, and the smell of wood glue is always around. We’ve been at this address for many years, and we know the other shopkeepers on Qutab Road quite well. We usually share a pot of tea in the afternoon when the rush dies down. It’s a practical life, and we like the feeling of actually making something with our hands every day.
