T B Sarup Artist is located at 46 Darya Ganj on Sedhumal Street. If you know Darya Ganj, you know how tight the streets can be. It’s an old part of the city, full of history and a lot of noise. This is where we do all our work. The studio is in an old building. The walls have seen better days, and the floor is often covered in paint or charcoal dust. It’s a very hands-on place. We have canvases and brushes everywhere. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped because there’s so much stuff stored in here. But it’s where the work happens. We don’t really have a showroom or anything fancy. If you want to see what we are doing, you just have to come into the workspace. Sedhumal Street is usually busy with people carrying goods or delivery carts going past. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The lighting is okay during the day, but we use extra lamps when it gets dark. It’s a very practical environment. We aren't here to impress anyone with a shiny office. We are here to create things. Most people in the neighborhood know us as the place where the artist works. We get a lot of tea from the local shop and just keep at it. It’s a slow, steady process and we like being part of the old city atmosphere. The building has a lot of character and that seems to help with the creative process most days.
