S. Raju Purse Store

You have to come up to the first floor to find us at T-98 on Factory Road in Nabi Karim. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, so you have to watch your step. Once you get inside, it’s mostly just rows of purses and bags. We have them hanging from hooks on the walls and stacked in bins on the floor. It smells like plastic and fabric in here, which is just the way it is when you deal with these kinds of goods. The windows look out over the street, and we can see the trucks loading and unloading all day long. Nabi Karim is always moving, and we are right in the middle of that energy. The ceiling is a bit low, so the room can feel a bit small when we have a lot of new stock arrive. We don't really have a computer or anything fancy; most of our notes are kept in a thick paper ledger on the main counter. The counter itself is old wood and has scratches from years of sliding bags across it. We usually have the radio playing some local station in the background to pass the time. It gets pretty busy around the holidays, and we end up staying late to finish everything. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. It’s a purse store in an old part of town, and we’re happy with that.
