Being located at 7741 near the Clock Tower is quite an experience. Rahi Art is right in the middle of the Ganta Ghar Subzi Mandi. The energy there is incredible, with all the vegetable sellers and the people rushing around to get their shopping done. It’s a very old part of the city, and our building has that historic feel to it. Inside, things are a bit chaotic. We have paint tubes, canvases, and sketches lying on almost every surface. It’s not a showroom where everything is perfect and clean. We actually work here, so there is usually the smell of oil paint and turpentine in the air. We don't have a big glass window to show off our stuff; people usually just wander in because they saw us through the open door. The Clock Tower chimes every hour and it’s a good way to keep track of the day without looking at a watch. We have some old chairs where we sit and drink tea while we discuss what we’re going to work on next. It’s a very grounded way to live. We don’t do any advertising or social media stuff. If people like what we do, they tell their friends. That’s how we’ve always operated. It’s a bit noisy and the floors are uneven, but it’s home to us. We like the grit and the reality of being in the heart of the market every single day.
