Our workshop is at A-78 in Sector-8 of the Anand Parbhat Industrial Area, not far from Rohtak Road. It’s a very busy part of town, always full of grease and the sound of machines. We do engineering work, mostly small parts and repairs for other businesses. The building is old and the stairs are a bit narrow. We have a few lathes and drills that are constantly running. It gets pretty oily on the floor, so we have to be careful where we walk. My brother and I started this years ago. We don't have a fancy office, just a small corner with a desk where we keep the bills and the phone. The neighbors are mostly into similar work, so we often borrow tools from each other. Traffic on Rohtak Road is usually a nightmare, so we try to get our deliveries done early. We spend most of our time in blue overalls. It’s not a clean job, but it pays the bills. Sometimes we stay late to finish a rush job for a regular customer. There’s a small dhaba nearby where we get our lunch every day. It’s just simple, honest labor here in Anand Parbhat. We know our machines and we know how to fix things when they break. The roof leaks a bit during the monsoon, but we’ve got plastic sheets for the motors.
