Brun Engineering Work

Our workshop sits right on the Main Road in Anand Parbat, at 7 B. Being on the main road means there is always a lot of dust and noise from the traffic passing by. We do engineering work, mostly involving metal parts and machine repairs. We have some old lathe machines that have been with us for years. They still run fine if you know how to handle them. The space isn't very large, so we have to be careful where we put things. Usually, there are pieces of iron and steel leaning against the walls. We don't have a receptionist or a front desk. If you want to talk to us, you just walk in and find whoever isn't busy with a machine. We get a lot of walk-in work from the other industrial shops nearby. Sometimes we’re making something from a rough drawing a customer brought on a piece of cardboard. It’s practical work. We wear our old clothes because they get covered in oil and metal shavings anyway. The work is steady but it's not easy. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and finishing the job. We've lived and worked in this area long enough to know most of the people around here. The floor is concrete and always has some oil spots on it. We keep a small calendar on the wall to track the deadlines. It's a straightforward place with no frills, just hard work and machines. Sometimes the power cuts off and we just sit outside until it comes back.
