Kutch Arts

You can find Kutch Arts at 1/2 Old Rajinder Nagar. It’s a residential-looking street, but there are plenty of small businesses like ours tucked into the buildings. We occupy a ground-floor space that’s mostly filled with shelves and boxes. There isn't much room to walk around once you get inside because we have so much stock. We’ve been here for quite a while, and the place has a bit of a lived-in feel. The floor tiles are worn down in the spots where we walk the most. We don’t really have a sales floor; it’s more like a storehouse that people happen to visit. Sometimes it’s a bit dark inside, but we know where every single item is kept even without looking. We don’t use any complicated computer systems to track things. Instead, we have a big notebook where we write everything down by hand. It might seem old-fashioned to some, but it works for us. The neighborhood is fairly lively, so there’s always some noise coming from the street outside. We keep a small stool near the door for when we want to sit and watch the world go by for a few minutes. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just handling the items we have and talking to the people who drop by.
