Jug Mug Paints

Jug Mug Paints is right near the Clock Tower in Subzi Mandi. If you know 7702, you know it’s a crowded spot. There is always someone shouting or a cart passing by. We have been sitting here at this shop for years, surrounded by paint buckets and brushes. It’s not a quiet place. The smell of oil paint is always in the air, which we don't even notice anymore. People come in looking for stuff to brighten up their homes. Sometimes they are not sure what they want, so we show them the cards. It’s a simple setup. We don't have air conditioning or soft chairs. Just a wooden counter and lots of inventory. We get the shop open early because the market starts moving fast. Most of our regulars are painters or people living right here in the lanes. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes with all the deliveries coming in. We try to keep the brushes in one corner and the heavy tins in another. The Clock Tower is a good landmark for people trying to find us. It’s a busy life here at 7702. We don't really think about much else besides getting the right cans to the right people. It's just a regular day-to-day business. Nothing more to it. We keep our prices fair and just talk to folks like neighbors. There is a tea stall right across from us, and the smell of cardamom mixes with the paint. It’s a unique smell for sure.
