Embroidery Work

Our shop, which we just call Embroidery Work, is located at 5051 on the second floor. We are right on Netaji Subhash Marg in Darya Ganj. If you have ever been to Darya Ganj, you know how packed it gets, especially on the weekends. There are books and food and people everywhere. To get to us, you have to head up to the second floor. The stairs are a bit narrow and sometimes they are a little dark, but it is worth the climb. We have been in this spot for a good while now. The name is simple because that is exactly what we do. We don't see the point in having a complicated name when everyone just wants to know what happens inside. The building itself is old, like most things in this part of town, and it has a lot of character. You can hear the sounds of the street coming through the windows all day long. Sometimes it’s the horns and other times it’s just the general hum of the market. We sit here and work on whatever is in front of us. It is a very hands-on kind of place. There are threads and fabrics scattered around and the lighting is just right for what we need to see. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the flashiest place in Darya Ganj. We just stay busy and keep the machines or the needles moving.
