The life of a shetkari isn't easy, and we know that because we live it every day. We don’t have a big fancy building with signs everywhere. Usually, you’ll find us sitting around talking about the crop prices or the next sowing season. It’s very local here. Everyone knows everyone in Padali Shinde, so news travels fast. We spend our time trying to organize the local produce so it doesn’t just sit around. There’s always something to fix or a truck to wait for. It gets dusty and hot, but that’s just how it is in this part of Maharashtra. We don't use big words or have long meetings about strategy. We just look at what's in the bags and where it needs to go. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning till night. We’re just trying to keep the tradition of farming going while making it work in today's world. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads are blocked, but we just keep on going like always because that is what farmers do.
