Chankhore Farmers Producer Company Limited

Chankhore Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Bori, which is in the Mehkar area of Buldana. We use a space at Santosh Janardhan Chankhore’s place, numbered 643 in the village. Being in Buldana, we are right in the middle of the farming heartland. Most of us who started this have been farmers since we were kids. We didn't like how we were always at the mercy of the big markets far away, so we set up this producer company to give us some control. Our office is usually full of people coming in to talk about their land or the price of cotton and soy. It’s a very local thing, and we know almost everyone who walks through the door. We don't have any big fancy speeches about what we do. Mostly, we just sit around and figure out the best way to move our crops. Some days are very slow, and we just talk about the weather, while other days we are working until midnight to finish the loading. It is hard to keep everything running smoothly when the costs of everything keep going up. We just try to keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. There are no experts here, just people who know the soil and want to make sure the village stays productive. We handle the paperwork and the sales so the farmers can focus on their fields.
