Sayukt Agro Farmers Producer Companylimited is run by several of us here in Shegaon Bk. You can find us at Shri Deorao V Raout’s place. Shegaon is a place where agriculture is the main thing everyone does, so it felt right to start this company. We focus on the farmers around the Shegaon center area. We aren't some big firm from the city. We are just guys who spend our days in the sun and our evenings trying to figure out the business side of things. It’s quite a challenge sometimes. We have to deal with transport, storage, and all the red tape that comes with running a producer company. The house serves as our main meeting point where we drink tea and look at the ledgers. We don't have any polished speeches or big mission statements. We just want to get our grain and vegetables sold without losing money. It’s a practical setup. When someone has a problem with their crop, they come here and we see if the group can help. It’s about sticking together when things get difficult. We know our soil and we know our crops. This company is just our way of making sure that knowledge stays local and benefits our own community. It is simple, hard work, and we just keep at it.
