Savitai Agro Producer Company Limited is located over in Shivanipisa, which is a small post in the Lonar taluka. We operate out of Himmatrao Jadhav’s place. It’s a humble setup, nothing like those big offices you see in the cities. Here, life revolves around the seasons and what the ground gives us. We decided to come together as a producer company because being a small farmer in Lonar isn't always easy. The soil can be tricky and the water isn't always enough. By joining up, we can share tools and maybe get better prices for the stuff we grow, like soy or cotton. We spend a lot of our time just talking to each other about what’s working on the different farms. It’s a community thing. If someone’s tractor breaks down or they need extra hands for the harvest, we try to help out. We don't have any polished speeches or big marketing plans. We just know that if we stand together, we have a better chance against the bad weather and the low market prices. The office is really just a place to keep the records and meet up after a long day in the fields. It’s dusty work and our hands are usually stained from the soil, but it’s what we know how to do. We aren't looking to change the world, just to make sure our village stays on its feet and the next generation of farmers has something real to work with.
