Yamunai Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over at Survey No 46/2 in Shivni Armal. That’s near Padali Shinde in the Deolgaon Raja area of Buldana. We are a small group of farmers who decided to come together and register as a company. It wasn't because we wanted to be big business people, but because it’s getting harder to farm on your own these days. Most of our time is spent out in the fields, not in an office. Our address is just a piece of land where we manage our operations. In Buldana, we have to be careful with the water and the soil, and we talk about that a lot. We don’t have any fancy marketing or slogans. We just focus on the crops we grow, like cotton or whatever else is in season. When we meet up at Shivni Armal, we usually discuss the costs of fertilizer or how the monsoon is looking. It’s simple, honest talk between people who know what it’s like to work in the sun all day. We use the company to help us get better prices and organize our transport. It’s a lot of work to keep the records straight, but it helps the village out. We’re just regular folks from Deolgaon Raja trying to keep our farms going. There’s nothing polished about us, just the reality of life on the land and the seasons as they come.
