Out here in Muramba, life moves at its own pace. Sakashm Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at Rambhau Januji Ambhore’s place, House Number 0918. If you know Nandura or the wider Buldana area, you know the soil is what keeps everything going. We aren't trying to be some big city corporation. Most days, you’ll find us wearing our dusty boots, talking about the price of seeds or the latest pump repairs. Rambhau’s house is where we gather to sort things out. It’s a simple setup. We deal with the realities of the weather and the market every single day. Sometimes the rains don't come when they should, and we all just have to wait it out together. Being a farmer producer company basically means we are a bunch of neighbors in Muramba trying to help each other out with the heavy lifting of selling what we grow. It’s a lot of talking, a bit of arguing over the best way to do things, and plenty of tea while we look over the fields. We don't have a glossy brochure or a fancy lobby. We just have our land and this small office space in the village. It’s practical, sometimes a bit messy when everyone shows up at once, but it is ours. We focus on the daily chores and getting the trucks loaded when the time comes. We are just trying to make sure our families can keep farming for years to come.
