Muktanand Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Subhash Kashirao Deshmukh’s place in D.Mahi. If you know Buldhana, you know how it gets here. We are just a bunch of people from the village who decided it was better to work as a group than just on our own. It gets lonely out in the fields sometimes, and the paperwork for selling grain is always a headache. We use the address here at D.Mahi 443404 to keep everything in one folder. Most of us have been farming since we were kids, so we know the land pretty well. We don't have any big speeches to give. We just grow what we can and hope the market stays steady. Some days the tractors are breaking down, and other days we’re just sitting around waiting for the monsoon to actually start. It’s a lot of waiting and then a lot of rushing. Having this company means we can buy seeds together or maybe get a better deal on fertilizer. We aren't doing anything fancy. It’s just rural life. Subhash’s place is usually where the meetings happen, though "meeting" usually just means sitting on some chairs in the shade. We just try to help each other out with the harvest. There’s not much more to say about it than that. We are just farmers living in this corner of Buldhana, trying to make things work year after year.
