Mehkar Jaivik Sheti Mission Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our office is located at Dongaon in the Mehkar taluka. We are over at Gat No. 479/4, working from Bharat Yadao Vidole's place. This is where we run Mehkar Jaivik Sheti Mission Farmer Producer Company Limited. The whole idea was to get back to organic farming around here. We aren't some fancy agency. We are just local farmers who know this land inside and out. The office isn't much to look at, it’s just a room where we keep our books and meet up. Most days we are out in the fields anyway, checking on the crops and talking to the other farmers in the mission. It gets very hot here, and the work is tiring, but we feel it’s important to do things the organic way. We don't have a big team of executives or anything like that. It's just a few of us trying to coordinate everything. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit overwhelming, and we aren't always the fastest at getting it done, but we do our best. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just want the soil to stay healthy and for the farmers to get a fair price for what they grow. It's a simple life, but it’s what we know. There’s always something to do, so we don't have much free time, but we keep going because the land needs us.
