We set this up over in Sindkhed Raja Daregaon, right here in the Lonar area of Buldhana. Shivshankar Bangale is the one who handles a lot of the coordination from his place, and it is really just a bunch of local farmers who decided we needed to work together instead of everyone doing their own thing. Mostly, we are dealing with the same crops everyone else in this part of Maharashtra grows, trying to figure out how to handle the harvest better than we did before. The weather hasn't always been easy on us, but we keep going because that is what you do when you live on a farm. People know us around here just as the Bangale group. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just the space we use for getting the daily work done. Some days it is just about moving bags or checking on the seeds for next season. We don't really have a big plan other than making sure the local growers get a fair shake when it is time to sell. It started out as an idea between neighbors. Now there are more of us involved. It gets busy during the peak times, and we spend a lot of hours out there. Lonar is a good place to be based. The soil is what it is, and we make the most of it. We are just regular people trying to keep the farming life going for our families.
