Khamgaonkar Agricoss Farmer Producer

Our group, Khamgaonkar Agricoss, operates out of Dhangarwadi. If you're looking for us, we’re over at Dilip Ramrao Folane’s place. It’s in the Tnewasa part of Newasa taluka in the A.Nag district. It’s a quiet area, mostly just fields and small houses. We decided to get together as Agricoss because many of us studied agriculture and wanted to use that knowledge here at home. We aren't trying to be some big national corporation. We just want to help the farmers in our own backyard. The office is pretty basic. We have a table, some chairs, and a lot of registers where we keep track of everything. The walls have some maps of the local lands. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when everyone shows up at once to talk about the seeds or the market rates. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, one of us just pulls up a chair for whoever walks in. It’s a bit informal, but that’s how things work around here. We deal with the daily problems of farming, like the water supply and the cost of fertilizer. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes things don’t go as planned, but we stay at it. We’re just a bunch of local guys trying to make the farm business a bit more organized for everyone in Newasa. It is a simple life and we are happy to be working in our own village.
