It's a place with a lot of history, but our day-to-day is mostly just about the dirt and the crops. We named the group to honor an elder, and we try to keep that spirit of hard work alive in everything we do. It’s not a corporate office. It’s more like a gathering spot where we can get organized. Dilip's place is where we keep our records and meet to talk about the farming schedule. We have to deal with the same problems every farmer faces—too much rain, not enough rain, or bugs in the fields. We don't have any secret formulas for success. It’s just about putting in the hours and hoping for a decent yield at the end of the year. We talk to each other about which seeds are doing well and how to get a better price at the market. It’s a community thing more than a business thing. We live here, our families are here, and our life is tied to the land. We don't spend money on fancy marketing because that’s not what we are about. We’d rather spend that on better equipment or helping out a neighbor who’s had a bad season. It’s just us, working together in Sindhkhed Raja, trying to make things work out for the whole group.
