Janswaraj Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is based in Buldana at Adhe Niwas. It is house number 2019 on the Ajisapur road. Sainagar is where most of us live or have our small plots. We started Janswaraj Farmers because it felt like a good idea to work as a team. The road outside can get quite busy with trucks and tractors passing by all day. We meet up in the small room near the gate. It’s nothing special, just some plastic chairs and a fan that makes a lot of noise. We spend our time talking about the crops and the local weather. Buldana has its own set of problems with the rain. Sometimes the rains are too much and sometimes they don't come at all. We try to help each other find better seeds or figure out the transport. There is no boss here, just people trying to make a living. We don't have a website or a fancy logo on a wall. It is just the name on the registration papers. Sometimes we spend hours just arguing about which crop will do better next year. My friend’s son helps us with the typing and the mobile apps. We are just trying to get by and keep our farms going. It’s hard work but doing it together makes it a little bit easier for everyone in Sainagar. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day.
