We’ve been working out of Dahikargadge Nagar for a while now, right near Poonam Photo Studio. It’s a busy little spot in town. Gajanan Maharaj Farmer Producer Company Limited isn’t some big corporate setup with glass walls. It’s just us, mostly Ashok and a few others, trying to get things organized for the local growers. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot. We spend a lot of time talking about seeds, the price of fertilizer, and how the rain is behaving this year. Our office is basically just a room at Ashok Panjabrao’s place, but it serves us well enough. People drop by throughout the afternoon to discuss their yields or ask about new government rules they heard about on the radio. It gets a bit crowded sometimes, and the paperwork can be a headache, but that’s how it goes when you’re running a producer company. We don’t have fancy marketing or anything like that. We just focus on the practical stuff that matters to the people living around here. Sometimes the crops are good, sometimes they aren't, but being together helps everyone sleep a little better at night. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years, yet the basic work of farming stays pretty much the same. If you’re looking for us, just ask for the place near the studio; everyone knows where it is. We’re just regular folks doing our best with what we’ve got.
