Chikhali Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our company, Chikhali Farmer Producer Company Limited, is based right out of a house in Toranwada. If you look for H. No. 48, that’s where you’ll find us. We are in the Buldhana area, which is where most of us grew up and have lived our whole lives. It’s a quiet place, but we keep busy enough with the farm work and trying to manage the business side of things. It isn't always easy. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors and other farmers about what they need and how we can work together. We don’t have a big staff or a receptionist. If the phone rings, one of us just picks it up between other chores. The address might look a bit simple on paper, but it’s our base for everything we do. We deal with the local crops and try to find better ways to get things moved to the market. Sometimes the roads are a bit rough, especially when the rains come through Buldhana, but we make it work. We aren't here to give some big sales pitch. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields actually pays off at the end of the year. There’s a lot of talk about big agriculture, but here at house forty-eight, it’s just small-scale stuff and real people trying to stay afloat and help each other out.
