Rath Caterers

We are located in Ashok Nagar and run Rath Caterers as a small family operation. The kitchen is where we spend almost all of our time. It’s not a big industrial setup, just a regular place with enough room to chop vegetables and stir large vats of curry. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, so most of the work is done by hand. Ashok Nagar is a decent area, and we have been here long enough that most of the neighbors know when we are preparing a big order because of the smell of frying onions and spices. It’s hard work and your back starts to ache after standing for ten hours, but that is the nature of catering. We don't do much in the way of promotion. We just wait for the phone to ring or for someone to stop by the house. Sometimes we have to hire extra hands from the street when a big order comes in last minute. Managing the staff can be a bit of a headache, but we manage to get the food delivered most of the time. The delivery van is old and sometimes it doesn't want to start, which adds to the stress. We just focus on making sure the food isn't burnt and that there is enough for everyone at the party. It’s a simple life with a lot of manual labor and very little rest.
