Maa Jhadeswari Catering

You can find us right near the Jhadeswari Temple over in Siripur. Being so close to the OUAT campus means we see a lot of students and faculty members walking by all the time. Our kitchen is tucked away near Siripur Square, and we spend most of our mornings getting things ready for whatever event is on the schedule. Catering is hard work because you never really know what to expect. One day it's a small family gathering and the next it's a big party. We just take it as it comes. The pots are always bubbling with something, and the smell of onions and spices is just part of the walls now. We don't have a fancy office or a big reception area. If you want to talk to us at Maa Jhadeswari Catering, you usually have to find us in the back while we're prepping vegetables or checking the rice. It is a bit messy sometimes with all the crates and supplies coming in, but that's how a working kitchen looks. We try to be honest about what we can do and what we can't. If the temple has a big festival, things get even busier around here. We just keep our heads down and cook. It’s mostly family members working together, so we argue a bit but get the job done in the end. It is not always perfect, but we make sure the food is ready when the guests arrive.
