Being on the national highway means we see a lot of different people every day. Some are just passing through the city and others live right here in Jharapada. We started this little fast food spot because people always want something quick and hot to eat. It’s not a sit-down place with waiters in suits or anything like that. It is more of a practical spot for a quick bite on the go. We spend most of our time at the counters or by the stove. The traffic on NH-203 can be quite heavy, so there is always noise from the vehicles passing by. We’ve gotten used to all that noise over the years. Our neighbors at KK Nivas are good people. We try to keep the place running smooth even when there is a big rush in the evenings. That is usually when most of the local crowd comes out for their snacks. We don't have a big corporate team behind us, just us and a couple of helpers making sure the food is ready. It's a simple life. We open up the shutters, prep the ingredients, and wait for the first customer of the day. Bhubaneshwar is growing fast, but Jharapada still feels like home and we just work here.
